My glog about Newspeak!

While making this glog, firstly I read the summary of the  book "1984" and its video on the sparknotes. I learned most of knowledge from there. It was an easy project that everyone could do, even my little students  :)

I prepared a brochure using the program 'Microsoft Office Publisher'. In this brochure, I gave some information about the new language "Newspeak" as a propagandist. I will distribute these brochures people who will learn Newspeak. It was an enjoyful project. :)

Our Fable

                      

The Dog, the Cat and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there were a dog, a cat and a mouse. They hated each other, but they lived in the same forest. The dog was chasing the cat; the cat was chasing the mouse. One day, while they were chasing each other, they entered a haunted house. While they were running in the house, the sun was down everywhere was dark and horrible. Doors were closing, there were mysterious sounds in the house and they were so scared. At the end, they stopped chasing each other. They went the door but it was closed. They tried to open again and again.  It was so hard to open that huge door but cooperation overcame that difficulty. The dog hit the door, the cat clawed it and the mouse gnawed it. And that huge door was opened after trying hours. They escaped without looking at their backs. They learned that friendship was so valuable treasure. Since that time, they have never chased each other and they happily lived together.

Elmas, Sevde and me prepared this project together. We really enjoyed while creating a fable. Firstly, we made form characters and the topic. Anyway, after forming this structure and form, other part came quickly. Our message is 'the importance of friendship'.

An Interview with Johnny Depp

In my interview project, I listened to Mark Lawson's interview with Johnny Depp. They were talking about Johnny Depp's latest film ' Public Enemies' and his role in that film. The interviewer firstly introduced the topic and the actor who would be interviewed. Before Mark Lawson began to his main questions, he asked some questions like that 'How is your life, I watched your latest film,it was great one' etc. as warm-up. Johnny Depp answered questions in a cool way. He was in a mood as if he had made so many interviews. Mark Lawson was well-organized and well-prepared for his interview. He had planned questions cleverly, transition from one question to another was so fluent and sentences and questions were related to each other. He focused on the main subject 'Johnny Depp's role in the film "Public Enemies" '. Related to this subject, he asked other follow-up questions such as " Did you enjoy your role in the film, it was a different character and you performed it very well, how did you accomplish, this how can you adapt to different roles in your films, being a successful actor was your dream, is it actual job you wanted to be?" Johnny depp answered questions clearly and patiently. He sometimes added some extra information about his character as a gangster in Public Enemies. Finally, Mark Lawson thanked Johnny Depp for his attention there. And the interview was over.
If I were Mark Lawson and had a chance to interview with Johnny Depp, I would ask these questions.
1. Which one is the best, a normal life in which you're not popular and you have a calm life or a famous person's life in which you are always being followed, you have a crowded environment, always there are magazines following you ?
2. Could you spend your time with your family while making this film, did it take your all time ?
3. Were there any other actors playing this role whom you like ?
